Cornerstone (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect when you use our website and mobile app, how we use it, and the choices you have.

2. Data we collect

• Account data: name, username, email, phone, country, profile photo, church affiliation, and password (stored hashed).
• Profile & spiritual preferences: goals, prayer focus, journal entries, prayers, dreams, habits, and similar content you choose to save.
• Usage data: app interactions, feature usage, device type, push notification tokens, and log data (IP address, timestamps, errors).
• Payment data: donation and subscription metadata processed by payment partners; we do not store full card numbers on our servers.
• Communications: support messages, notifications, and community posts you submit.

3. How we use data

We use your information to:

• Provide, personalize, and improve the Service (including AI-assisted prayers and devotionals)
• Authenticate you and secure accounts
• Send verification emails, prayer reminders, and notifications you opt into
• Process donations, wallet activity, and subscriptions where enabled
• Moderate community content and prevent abuse
• Comply with law and enforce our Terms

4. AI processing

AI-assisted features. Prayers, devotionals, dream reflections, Bible summaries, quizzes, and similar tools are generated with Cornerstone AI to offer spiritual encouragement and study aids. They are not divine revelation, prophecy, or a substitute for Scripture, your church, or professional counsel. Always weigh suggestions against the Bible and trusted spiritual leadership.

Text and voice you submit for AI features may be sent to our secure AI infrastructure (“Cornerstone AI”) to generate responses. Do not submit sensitive identifiers you do not want processed. We do not sell your prayer or journal content to third parties for advertising.

5. Sharing

We share data only as needed to operate the Service, including with:

• Cloud hosting and email delivery providers
• Payment processors (Paystack, Flutterwave, PayPal, or others you select)
• Push notification services (Firebase Cloud Messaging)
• Analytics or advertising partners when you have not opted out of ads and the feature is enabled

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect users and the Service.

6. Cookies & similar technologies

Our website uses cookies and local storage for login sessions, preferences, and security. You can control cookies through your browser; some features may not work if cookies are disabled.

7. Retention

We retain account and content data while your account is active. You may delete certain content in the app. When you delete your account, we remove or anonymize personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal, security, or backup purposes.

8. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us through Help & support to exercise these rights. You may opt out of marketing emails via unsubscribe links.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. Contact us if you believe we have collected such data so we can delete it.

10. International transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. We use appropriate safeguards where required by applicable law.

11. Security

We use industry-standard measures including HTTPS, access controls, and hashed passwords. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please use a strong, unique password.

12. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Material updates may also be communicated in-app or by email.
